Pakistan defeated India in the first match of the T20 World Cup 2021. Not only defeated but also badly defeated with 10 wickets. Batting first, India gave a target of 151 runs which Pakistan achieved easily by playing beautifully in 17.5 overs without any loss.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Wicket keeper Muhammad Rizwan played unbeaten innings and gave Pakistan a great victory. Babar Azam and Muhamad Rizwan form an unbeaten 152 runs partnership reminiscent of great batsman Saeed Anwar.
Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bowl which prove to be correct. In the first over of the match, the Indian opener could not face the magical bowling of shaheen Afridi and Rohit Sharma lost his wicket on the fourth ball of the first over.
Shaheen took the wicket of KL Rahul in the first ball of his second over which left India batting confused.
Indian Captain Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper Rishabh pant score the most runs from India. Virat Kohli Scored 57 off 49 Balls and Rishabh pant managed to score only 39 off 30 balls.
The Pakistani Bowlers, as usual, performed well this time and ruined the Indian batting. Shaheen Afridi managed to break the top order of the Indian batting and took 3 wickets, Hassan also took 2 wickets, and Shadab and Haris took one wicket each.
The Indian bowlers could not take a single wicket and Pakistan achieved the target easily and confidently in 17.5 overs without any loss. Pakistan wicketkeeper Muhammad Rizwan scored an unbeaten 79 off 55 balls and captain Babar Azam remained not out on 68 off 52 balls.
Both the team batted very well, especially the Indian captain Virat Kohli who supported his falling batting line but even that did not benefit India. But the batting displayed by Pakistan is unbelievable no one could have imagined that Pakistan would so easily over India.
If you look at the record of matches between India and Pakistan, for the first time Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets which is also a record in the T20 World Cup 2021. with this wicket-keeper, Muhammad Rizwan completed 100 catches of his career by catching Suryakumar Yadav Catch.
Pakistan’s batting was very confident in today’s match. while the bowlers also showed a very good game which you can guess from the bowling of Shaheen Afridi. Shaheen Afridi was declared the best man of the match due to his devasting bowling.
There is no precedent for the way Pakistan batted today. Usually in big tournaments Pakistan bats under pressure especially against India but beautifully, Pakistan has batted today it is not difficult to win the T20 WorldCup if such a game is presented by the Pakistan team.
